According to Wikipedia, Project Management is the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
In critical studies of project management, it has been noted that several of traditional models for project management are not well suited for the multi-project company environment of today. Most of them are aimed at very large-scale, one-time, non-routine projects, and nowadays all kinds of management are expressed in terms of projects. Using complex models for "projects" (or rather "tasks") spanning a few weeks has been proven to cause unnecessary costs and low maneuverability in several cases. Instead, project management experts try to identify different "lightweight" models, such as Agile Project Management methods including Extreme Programming for software development and Scrum techniques. The generalization of Extreme Programming to other kinds of projects is extreme project management, which may be used in combination with the process modeling and management principles of human interaction management. 
At ARGOAR, LLC we utilize scheme to mange multi-group, multi-country projects, outlined on the enclosed Figure.
On this scheme each project is assigned to individual project manager, who is responsible for overall project progress and communication between sub-teams involved into the project (if more than one team is involved into it). Our project managers are experienced professionals with strong background in the project management and leading multi-cultural and multi-technical groups to deliver world class level results.
In our day-to day project management we apply the best practices as outlined in PMBOK and suggested by PMI. However, we keep workflow of the process flexible enough to ensure that we can deliver best results and address any customer requests with minimal additional time and cost expenses.
We are sure that such scheme more or less can be applied to many small to mid level multi-project and/or multi-group companies. While working on number of projects in the past, we believe that we can offer great value to our clients on any stage of the project development: market evaluation, statement of work development, carrying out entire project or just small portion of it.
